Sharing a Document Revisions etc 20 - 30 minutes

  1. Versions
    Start your document and clilck File ->Versions

    You will see some of the starting version options on a new document.
  2. Comparing Revisions
  3. At this point you could go down the list of Actions and Accept or Reject the changes.
  4. Clicking on Filter you can
    1. view by date range or Author or Comment
      setting the Author: Tool-->Options-->User Data
  5. Compare to other Document and the merge as needed. Edit --> Compare Document
  6. Edit --> Changes --> Accept or Reject will give you a dialog box to see all 'Recorded Changes'
  7. Edit --> Changes -->Record

  8. This will work accross computers so if you send the file home etc you can track changes.
  9. Merging two documents only works if both used 'Tracking' see Help-->Openoffice Help and search on Merge to learn more.
  10. Spread sheet users have this as well!
